In July 2016, Ribbex agreed a 3+1 year contract with Saint Gobain Ltd. The contract is to supply hazardous liquid waste services for the Jewson brand of builders’ merchants at their 340 sites across the UK. The award of this prestigious contract comes on the back of a significant investment by Ribbex over the preceding few years. With an investment of £0.5m in 2016 alone on new equipment to upgrade our hazardous waste treatment plant to give additional recycling functionality combined with a new state of the art vacuum tanker to compliment the existing fleet, we will be achieving not only a ‘waste reduction’ and ‘zero to landfill’ solution, but also offer significant recovery and recycling opportunities for hazardous liquid and sludge wastes for our customers. With the ability to provide the collection, treatment and recycling of the hazardous wastes via our own in-house resources and processes, Ribbex has placed itself at the forefront of the hazardous waste interceptor market.
Awarding the contract to Ribbex, Jewson Director Richard Pedersen said “Jewson Tool Hire are happy to announce that after a lengthy tender process, Ribbex UK Ltd have been awarded the contract to clear our Wash-Bay Interceptors nationally.
